What we do:

Our on-site counsel provides coaching and monitoring to achieve your campaign goal.
• Grant Writing:  Putting our strong writing talent to work, we can prepare a compelling case for support illustrating measurable outcomes and impact for you to submit to your funders.
• Major Donor Fundraiser Residential Training: This intensive three-day training takes participants through the process of identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major donors. Designed for major donor fundraisers, you choose the tracks unique to your professional experience and learning needs.   
• Professional Coaching: When you feel like a team of one, a mentor and coach can help you stay inspired and on track with achieving your fundraising goal. This one-to-one service will give you access to the voice of experience when planning strategy, interacting with donors, and testing ideas.

    Patricia M. Lonsbary, CFRE, President & Senior Consultant

Patricia "Patty" Lonsbary, CFRE is an experienced development professional with over 33 years of fundraising experience.  She has proven abilities to plan and implement major gift strategies for capital campaigns, endowments and annual fund drives.  Using her operational and entrepreneurial skills, she is a successful team builder with development staff and volunteer leadership. 

Before launching Global Fundraising Solutions, Patty served UNICEF as the Major Donor Global Fundraising Specialist in the Private Fundraising and Partnerships Section of Central Fundraising in Geneva, Switzerland. From 2010 through 2014, she provided expertise in international major donor fundraising to national committees and country offices. Prior to joining UNICEF, she served as Vice President of Development and Marketing for Sheffield Place, a homeless shelter in Kansas City, Missouri. From 2001 to 2007, as a Senior Consultant with Ketchum, she managed capital campaigns in the USA. Throughout her career in fundraising, Patty has also led fundraising initiatives for such organizations such as the American Cancer Society, St. Barnabas Charitable Foundation, and the Association for Retarded Citizens.

Patty is committed to the fundraising profession as a presenter and volunteer. In 2011 at the International Fundraising Congress (IFC) in the Netherlands, her workshop "Achieving astonishing results with major donor fundraising" inspired an international audience of fundraisers.  A year later in 2012, she repeated this workshop at the IFC 

and added a Masterclass called "Amazing...People give when asked: Best practices in fundraising from major donors."  Patty is a member of the CFRE International Exam Committee. She also participates in the AFP Membership Services Committee and International Development Committee.  

As a long-time Rotarian, Patty believes in "service above self." And, she holds strong to the belief conveyed in this quote from Michelangelo: 

"The greatest danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim to high and falling short; but in setting our aim to low, and achieving our mark."
