Day 7: 8/15 Shiloh National Battlefield Visitor Center -- Home of the worst expository Civil War movie of all time. It had to be produced by the same people that brought us "Reefer Madness" and all those wonderful sex education movies of the Fifties.
Day 7: 8/15 Pittsburgh Landing, Shiloh Battlefield -- Rick and Ron at the Landing on the Tennessee River.
Day 7: 8/15 Shiloh Battlefield -- Indiana Monument to her soldiers. Kathy Lieb's relative was a member of an Indiana unit at the battle. He and Wiley's ancestor probably spent the better part of a day shooting at each other.
Day 7: 8/15 Shiloh Battlefield -- The Hornet's Nest where Prentiss and his brave Union soldiers repulsed eleven assaults by Confederate forces. They stood their ground until the South massed 65 batteries of artillery against them. The whizzing of bullets overhead reminded the veterans of the sound of angry hornets -- hence the name, The Hornets Nest.
Day 7: 8/15 Shiloh Battlefield -- Tom and Wiley in front of Shiloh Church which was the scene of heavy fighting early in the battle, and gave this battle its name.
Day 7: 8/15 Shiloh Church -- Brother Tom Corcoran preaching before the usual empty congregation.
Day 7: 8/15 Shiloh Battlefield -- Wiley and Tom at the Illinois Monument next to Shiloh Church.
Day 7: 8/15 Hagy's Catfish Hotel, near Shiloh Battlefield -- The Boys happily await their noon repast. Note that Rick is smiling. He's usually not this happy when he's hungry. Obviously he is faking the smile and good fellowship for the camera.
Day 7: 8/15 Hagy's Catfish Hotel -- Ron digs into his usual heart healthy lunch.
Day 7: 8/15 Rooftop Party at Peabody -- The Boys celebrate their arrival in Memphis.
Day 7: 8/15 Lansky Bros. in the Peabody Hotel -- Tom, the boy who buys all his clothes at the Flying J Truck Stop, decides to walk on the wild side by doing a fitting at the store that clothed the King. Same old Tom. Same bad taste.
Day 8: 8/17 Outside Graceland Mansion on Night of Candlelight Vigil -- Some Elvis's are better than others. This one is not very good.
Day 8: 8/17 Graceland Mansion -- A few of the many fans and Elvis-Wannabees outside the Mansion for the Thursday Night Candlelight Vigil.

Day 8: 8/17 Jim Neely's Interstate Bar-B-Que, Memphis, TN -- Ronnie enjoys another heart healthy meal. The wait staff, Wiley and Tom watch in awe as Ronnie does the Swine. Pigs around the world tremble in fear at the name of "Ronnie Arslanian."

Day 8: 8/17 Jim Neely's Interstate Bar-B-Que, Memphis, TN -- Jim Neely, owner and founder, embraces Rick as a long lost brother. Thanks to the amount that Rick ate for lunch. Mr. Neely will be able to send his granddaughter (also pictured) not only for her remaining three years at Duke, but also pay her tuition for law school.
