Private Motor Coach,
Inc. Offers a Travel Solution for a Growing Family Dilemma
Family reunions, visiting
the grandchildren, weddings, and the tradition of being
together for the holidays all arouse the need to travel,
sometimes great distances across the U.S. This emotional draw
becomes particularly cumbersome for the “Baby Boomer
Generation” when aging and ailing parents can no longer travel
safely alone but still wish to participate in these gatherings.
President of Private Motor
Coach, Inc. Ed Lonsbary initiated a practical solution for
this growing need when he left a corporate career and founded
his company little over three-years ago.
Lonsbary’s company offers a
travel alternative to flying, driving in a car, and crowded
trains or charter buses. Aboard his coach, “Patty’s Charm,”
only 2 to 8 people travel in a luxury house-on-wheels. Because
the coach features a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and queen
sized bedroom, the elderly or frail can lay back on the couch
or bed and simply enjoy the ride.
“Adult children tied to
careers and their own youngsters or teens, simply can’t
pick-up and go get Mom or Dad at some far-off city. I
frequently respond to the growing need of families looking for
safe, accompanied travel for aging and ailing parents,” says
Lonsbary.
Remembering his first such
trip, Lonsbary reminisces, “About two years back, an
81-year-old woman in the last
stages of cancer wanted to travel from her home in Ligonier,
Pennsylvania to Florida. Two nurses and her sister
accompanied her on the trip. I literally carried the woman
from her front door to the bed aboard the coach where she
stayed until we arrived in Florida.”
Lonsbary comes directly to
the traveler’s front door and drives them to their destination
safely and with the watchful eye of an adoptive son.
“I’ve taken an elderly
physician and his handicapped son to from Philadelphia to a
small town in Wisconsin for a reunion,” remembers Lonsbary.
“And, soon I’ll welcome aboard a couple from Corpus Christi,
Texas for a trip to see family in Pennsylvania.”
“I’ve traveled all over the
U.S. and Canada with my former corporate career,” explains
Lonsbary. “I love being on the road and this new venture of
mine – Private Motor Coach, Inc.- delivers a meaningful
service to those whose travel options have limitations.”
Private Motor Coach, Inc.,
which is based in Whitehouse, Texas, takes travelers
“Anywhere-Anytime.”
