“Private Motor Coach, Inc.
Cleans-up Whitehouse”
Eleven community
service volunteers joined Private Motor Coach, Inc.
President Ed Lonsbary and his daughter Suzie Wassel on
Saturday, April 3rd for the annual observance of
the “Don’t Mess With Texas Trash-Off.”
The volunteers,
recruited by the Keep Whitehouse Beautiful Committee, worked
throughout this small East Texas town to pick-up litter
along the streets and highways.
The Private Motor Coach,
Inc. crew focused on the two-mile stretch of Old Tyler Road.
Beverage cans, fast food
wrappers, cigarette packs, and other litter filled 78 trash
bags. A pick-up truck full of large items carted away
evidence of illegal dumpers. “We found a sofa and chair,
tires, roof shingles, and other construction debris dumped
along this scenic country road.” Lonsbary wonders, “Why
can’t people just dispose of this stuff properly?”
Lonsbary adopted Old
Tyler Road in Whitehouse, Texas over two-years ago – one
mile is adopted in the company name Private Motor Coach,
Inc. and the other mile is in the name of the Lonsbary
Family.
“We made a commitment to
keep our roadway clear of litter.” Lonsbary said, “Our
company was founded to take people on road trips across
America. People don’t want to see our roads littered. And,
although we can’t do roads everywhere, our little
contribution, along with others, makes a big difference in
the appearance of Texas.”
Private Motor Coach, Inc. is a specialty travel company that
takes 2 – 10 people Anywhere-Anytime along America’s
highways in the luxury of a bus conversion that is a
house-on-wheels.
